AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL AND THE UNITED NATIONS
In 2000, Amnesty International and the United Nations recruited Joy Berry to translate Elenore Roosevelt’s Convention on the Rights of the Child into an educational program for elementary school age children. The request was prompted by the reality that most children throughout the world are not familiar with their Human Rights even though they deserve and need to know about them. The first program that was created by Joy on behalf of Amnesty International and the United Nations was called MINE AND YOURS. Several years later, the program was converted into the KIDS FOR GLOBAL PEACE program.
